Option 1: Difficult Circumstances Support & Conversations [Virtual]
To provide animal guardians with relational and empathy-based support when navigating anticipatory grief, end-of-life decision making and elective euthanasia, after loss experiences. This support is offered with deep respect for your bond and your unique circumstance.
Includes all experiences of animal loss: aging, injury/accident, disappearance, rehoming, or other unexpected events.
Purpose:
Create a space for pet guardians to share their fears, challenges, and thoughts while navigating emotional challenging animal health experiences or after pet loss.
Co-create and navigate options for end-of-life care that suits both the guardian's and the pet’s needs.
Explore options for memorial activities and items that hold memories and support healing.

It is important to me that you are aware of what I can offer. My role is supportive and non-clinical at this time. I cannot advise on pet medical decisions and will not interfere with veterinary recommendations.

It can be an incredibly lonely and isolating experience to figure out the best decisions for you and your pet when you are emotionally drained. With experience helping clients navigate these decisions, I can help make the final day and minutes a softer experience for you, and act as your advocate.
Purpose:
Option 2: Euthanasia Companionship [In-Person]
Scope of Practice/Core Services:
Offering gentle, non-clinical presence and emotional support to pet guardians during euthanasia appointments, at a veterinary clinic of choice, home, or other meaningful place where your veterinarian will travel.
Eligible locations: Municipalities on Southern Vancouver Island, such as Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, Central Saanich, North Saanich, Sidney, View Royal, Esquimalt, Colwood, Langford, The Highlands, Metchosin, Sooke.

Helping to determine memorial options and what to expect during the final appointment.
Coordination with your veterinary team to envision a comfortable experience for you and your pet.
*Must be booked with an appointment day service.

Checking you in at the vet's office while you remain in the comfort of your vehicle.
Working with the veterinary team to curate a comfortable space for you and your pet.
Helping you navigate the paperwork and payment associated with euthanasia procedures.
Staying with your pet during euthanasia to ensure they are not alone, if you choose or need to step away.
